Good news again! I got of Brian Lukas in CA ,and he has the tranny tunnel metal, torque boxes, as well as firewall metal I am looking for....out the door (including shipping) $400....once I get that, all I will need will be the roof replacement, spare tire metal, and rear quarters.....BODY PARTS WILL BE DONE!

The Bronze Medal on the Platinum Classic!:thumbs2:

We have a lot of pollen and dust during the other season - Construction (Winter being the first Season), so using an open Cone type is useless. The Fairmont 6 got an Aluminum air filter housing, that after 25 years, just falls apart. I may have to go looking at older Chevy cannisters. There's barely enough clearance for the stock one with the sound blanket in the hood, as it is.

Today I finished up taking off the upper cowl on the donor cowl...the only thing wrong with the donor cowl was the hats had pinholes so I just decided to take them off and replace them with new metal hats

Too bad galvanized stovepipe caps wouldn't fit.

It's the though that counts. :) I think they did galvanize the Fox non-AC cars' vent caps, after 1980. Pretty sure.

I think quite a few of us have hit that stage Rev.

A motivator is to tell your friends you are going to do it and you'd be surprised how many of them are willing to come and help without asking. They just want to help out and for them it is just fun working together on a project again like we used to as kids. In no time you'll be out driving it.......heck, we started the Chevelle on Tuesday, first time it has run since the cam was broken in way back in 01 or 02. THAT was motivating.

Nice looking parts. So, to sum up, you hang on to the center piece of metal and replace everything around it....right?:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I always give the most respect to those who can do metal replacement work. It's a mystery to me. I'm not very patient. Great work.(y)

yeah man! the strongest part of this car is definetly the center....with the amount of rust that needs replacing, it will be so worth it when she is done! If this wagon could talk she would be smiling a little bit more
