64 country squire wanted

I found this quote in the book "Full-size Fords 1955 - 1970":

"Many options and accessories were carried over to the 1964 Fords. However, the bucket seats with console and the 4 speed manual for the Country Squire were dropped."

So these bucket seats and console could be a later addition to the car. Or possibly a "one-off" special order. Seems factories did things like that back then. I believe we've seen one or two Country Squires on this forum with the bucket seats/console/manual.

So the guy you're talking to right now is the new owner of the car? Or the previous owner? It would take balls to flip a car before you've finished the deal.

 

The original owner, the new guy, I guess, wanted the owner to perform some work on it before he bought it. The work was done, the guy wanted more work done and listed it for sale before buying it. Who knows, it might be BS but at least the car is for sale and a bucket seat interior is just a bonus for me if it's done well.

 

Marty, be sure to post some pics of the new car when you get it home! We'd all probably like to see it!

I like the colour of this car. Is the interior red also? Or black?

TRUE DAT! the one I'm getting doesn't have a roof rack but I'm talking to a guy near where the Squire is that has a 64 Merc one. If I can pick that up while I'm down there it would be a major bonus. It sure looks the same.
