Yup - found that out on my F-85 real fast. Of course, back then the difference was maybe only 4 cents or so.......

Show me what you see, Dennis. Thanks.

If anyone else is interested in this car...here is a little more info from the seller........(In another email he said the fuel pump is rebuilt also.)

The car is solid. Underside is clean. I'll try and snap some shots. Send me your email and I'll get them to you. The engine is tight, fires right up, but like I said it's got a small oil pan leak & the power steering pump leaks a little from a worn seal. Had the main seal replaced, carburator, brake booster & master cylinder rebuilt, new plugs, wires, points, etc. within the last 4 years. Tranny shifts tight, never had a problem. No "rattles & shakes" other than from a 50 year old car! I had the front ball joints and control arm bushings replaced about a year ago so she steers tight as well. Drove her about 10 miles a day, 4 times a week for the last 4 and a half years until gas went through the roof. Never had a problem. Starts & runs smooth.

Given this car needs some work, but overall it is in pretty decent shape, I think 9 is reasonable. I couldn't pay that for it knowing my buddy sold a '65 Impala wagon, recently rebuilt 454, 700R4, disc brakes up front, 12 bolt rear, newer paint, glass was perfect, interior was redone, 15x7 ralley wheels and very good tires, all set up to tow, for not a lot more than this. It was a nice clean great looking car. Not as rare as the Olds now, but in the condition it was in, you seldom see anything that nice. But I think 10 is probably a price a buyer could feel good about, and a seller as well.

Some one is likely going to be having a lot of fun in the near future. Top up the interior and go cruising. Hope they join the forums.

I see what you are talking about and would contribute that to staining from the drain holes in bottom of the door. I do not see it as an issue at all. It shows me that the drain holes are not plugged from debris. It would clean in about 30 seconds.

64 its great that the door drains but why does it stain , as we all are aware (i love my fords) rust is not uncommon and if this wagon has newish paint mabye its had a little repair , myself would not buy a car that has been painted in USA or Aussie unless there is full photo records of before , during and after of any makeover and is one of the many reasons why pink bits was so appealing
