Where the heck did you get a 1938 Lincoln Zephyr with a V12, over the Pond? Wow! That's drooling material! Where's my bib?
Sweet rumbles, eh? Now that would be a treat! I saw one once on the way to British Columbia's Vancouver Island town called Tofino. Silver plated door handles, drop down bar table in the back seat, mint shape. The owner wouldn't crank it up. Meanwhile, we can drool a wee bit: http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/lincoln/38l/38l.html http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/lincoln/38lic/38lic.html A 4-door Convertible? http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/lincoln/38li/38li.html
Here's a pic of the Zephyr , I've wanted one for years , i'm going to turn it into a coupe as thats what i've always wanted but they are Big money ! i bought the complete zephyr for what would roughly be $6000 ish , and it's very complete , I got a mate to video it when i started it up , I'll find the vid and upload it to youtube and put a link on here
Oh, man....that is sweet! I wouldn't touch a thing but it's your car. Can't wait to hear it! Thanks for the pic, bus!
Thanks Silverfox , it does look better in that pic than it really is , there are no floors ,the wiring is rotten , all the upholstry is rotten and varmints have been living in it , it's completely dissmantled now and i've had the wings blasted , they've come up pretty good only needing straightening and the flanges where they bolt on need repairing , going to do some work on the Rambler now
LOVE the Zephyr. You seldom see the 4 doors done up well. To my eye, though, they have much nicer proportions than the 2 doors. There is NOTHING in this world like the sound of that flat head V-12, either. What a glorious piece of machinery!
