No apology needed. #1 family comes first. Glad your mom's ok and you were able to cheer us, later is always better then never. :)

Thanks Fannie! She is a tough old gal, when I called earlier she was already tired of laying around with her foot up. :slap: She still walks about 3 miles a day still and doesn't take any meds, at 81 it's just amazing.

I hope to be able to do that when I'm 81. Hell, I hope to be able to do that when I'm 31. :rofl2:

It's already too late for me. I even have my own personal druggist. In fact today our drug dealer gave my wife a ring she always wore. It matched my wedding ring and she knew it. Just out of nowhere gave it to my wife. There are some amazing people in this world.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Well, Dewey, I can't even drive 3 miles a day anymore (at this time, anyway) so your mom is probably quite capable of kicking the crapola out of me, and Cat, and maybe Fox, if we start teaching you bad things.

You are lucky to still have her in your life. You need to give her a hug from "us". Mind you, she will probably give you a slug for it, but still........

Dewey: Best of everything to your mom. In our family, my 83 year old Ma IS the one with the station wagon. If Arthur sits in the parking lot for more than a day, Ma is ill indeed! Can't wait for 2 years from now. I am going to take a picture of Arthur and Ma together, when she turn 85, and Arthur turns 25. Neither one ever seems to age at all. A pair of timeless creatures, Ma and her car. LOL

Well, willie...it's beyond my thought processes why you would ask that question here in this thread.

Go to Station Wagons & Parts Wanted and list what you need there. That's the operative thread for those needing/wanting wagons or parts for them.
    Cheers, willie!:drink:

Thanks everyone for your concern and comments about my mom, she is doing fine today and was finally setteled in to just sitting with her foot up watching movies...not trying vaccum or do laundry. :disagree:

You rest, you rust...this is true for people as well as cars!

MY mom is 82 and she has a more active social live the hubby and I. She is off to dances usually twice a week and as many card games as she can fit in. However she has been bothered by Phlebitis since Christmas. Hope she gets apst this soon, it can be a scary ailment.

I'm sure your mom will be back to her walks before to long.

Dewey, here's a thought. While your mom is just sitting around, and while your wagon is just sitting around, and given she can't stand up, and given there isn't room to stand up in the wagon, and given you need an interior and I'm assuming it's a given that your mom can sew ;)

I know, that is a ton of "givens" but how else to explain it? As fannie says, you rest and you rust............:dancing:

    Just sayin..............

Glad to hear she's getting along okay. My wife's aunt, 82 also, fell and broke her leg just above the knee. She is very active, plays violin in the local orchestra (for 60 years now), is still a tremendous singer, and has been a widow and on her own for 27 years. Her home has many steps so she's having to spend her healing time in a light care facility. She is enjoying it a bit as the group she's with are pretty active, but getting very frustrated. She has three weeks to go and she's counting the days. I think she's a lot like your mom, and fannie's.

It sounds like your Mom needs some of the good Cheer that is going on with this thread.
