My guess is $6200 (reserve not met). Its a a nice car, but I agree that $8900 seems kinda steep considering the car nearly has 100K on it.

I would give $5000. for it if I had it.... and may soon have it. :)

I have my heart set on a mint 1993-96 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, but I really love the woodgrain Caprice Estate wagons.

$8900 IS steep, 72King. This car is on a dealer lot.

Yeah, some dealer like to think they can get high retail price for a car.

This car is stunning though... its almost breathtaking. :)

After a glance at the Auto Check I think my bid guess is high. Depends on how many people actually look at those things, I guess. Or understand them.

I've noticed for quite sometime now that the eBay sales don't do that much anymore. Nothing like they used to, anyway. Not many snipers around anymore maybe.

Heh... did someone buy it in May, take a cross country tour, and resell it?

Yeah...I don't like cars with 7 year holes in the mileage track. This one has that and then showed up again at the dealer auction in May and then in June it had gained 10,000 miles! Someone must have taken a trip AROUND the country, mp.:yup: Sometime between the car arriving at the auction and being put up for sale on the dealer's lot....it gained 10K miles.

Mileage aside, the vehicle showing up twice in the same year is a little disturbing. As for the mileage, could it just be a data entry error?

Could be. A lot of action at the end, though, ... auction...dealer...back to auction and still shows it as being there. I would run a Carfax on this car....I don't care for AutoCheck at all. Trouble is...Carfax got a little snooty and raised the prices way up.

Carfax report provided free by the dealer. Mileage numbers from 2000 to 2003 don't match AutoCheck. Carfax has the car on a dealer lot on 5/9/11 with no mileage, no reference to it being auctioned ten days later.

Google cache of Motor Trend classified ad. Listed at $7900, from a dealer in Syracuse, NY. Probably gave up and wholesaled it to Hyman.

The way this was shifted around at the end I think there was some title and/or mileage work done on it. I was in the car biz and it looks like that to me. Not knocking the car if someone is interested...just seems to be some dealer shenanigans going on. Not that unusual.

Please remember that I am just learning about these cars. Are the Caprices more desirable than Roadmasters? If so, I certainly don't get it.
    Thanks

Typically, the Roadies are more desirable than the Cappies because of the glass roof over the back seat. I don't care for the glass top and I prefer the Cappy for reasons of my own that shall remain that way. They are both great wagons and almost identical except for trim.
