Ok fellow members. I was finally able to upload some images of the wagon. They are post-resto photos taken yesterday when my dad saw it for the first time since he dropped it off at my place 6 wks ago. He was more than pleased with how it turned out. Once I am able to upload the before photos you will understand why. I too cannot believe it is the same car I started tearing apart not that long ago. Good bye to the pile of parts and screws/clips. I am giving it one week and then I am dropping everything off at the local bone yard. Check out the photos in the gallery section under my post: "1986 Buick Estate Resto Project" Enjoy!! Ted
**** UPDATE IV **** I just posted the very first pre-restoration photo I snapped 6 weeks ago. As you can see, the paint is chaulked, the trim is dull, the woodgrain is cooked and faded and the passenger fender had been missing the woodgrain decal for over a year before the photo was taken. A total POS that I refused to let my dad park in my driveway!! I have over 40 photos documenting the condition of the car at the beginning of the resto and throughout the tedious process of getting it ready for paint. The question is, would I do it all over again knowing what I know now? Of course I would since it was for my dad. He doesn't ask for much and honestly, it was the least I could do for him. I'm just glad it's finally finished after over 150+ hours. I did locate a replacement shift indicator gauge assembly which I broke. Once I install that, I just have to readjust the rear tailgate window for him so it seals on the top and that's it. Wooo Hooo!! I sold the front bumper and an extra steering column last night. I still have a lot of parts including woodgrain trim pieces and odd trim pieces that will be gone either way within the next week. If anyone is local and wants anything please contact me before they're gone. Tedy -- I am getting those door panel trim covers ready to be shipped out to you. Email with any comments and/or questions on the resto. Thanks for your patience. Take care. Ted
