Yeah, there is the window crank. Sort of hard to see as the same color as the door panel. Note the (lack of) leg room.

I would happily pay $17k for this wagon. But only if the clock kept correct time. Else - no deal.

I believe the 504 wagon used the same concept as the late 60's / early 70's Olds Vista Cruisers / Buick Sportwagons - extending the wheelbase a few inches over the sedan version. Made this quite a roomy wagon.

He's lucky to get that much bidded. Did you noticed the retracted early 4-digit bids? They should establish rules against bid retracting. Anyone attempting doing such should be banned from ebay.
You could get the larger 605 with the V-6 from the south of France for plenty less, in that condition.
I'll gladly trade my AUDI for it. I like this Peugeot's styling. Especially, the dashboard. It has glass headlights, istead of plastic of which my AUDI has and is easier to service

I never cared for them, but the couple of people I knew who owned them swore by them

...and at them, and around them, and...

I don't mind the exterior styling even if it is/was dated for the time. Not sure how excited I could get about a French engineered car though.

That one was at least a conventionally-designed car, unlike the Renaults and Citroens. The design, which has remained mostly unchanged since 1968, might seem dated for those who are used to mostly seeing boxy cars all day long. Back then, Peugeot designers designed their cars not to contrast against a typical European surrounding.
The Peugeot plants are located in that part of France which was formerly part of Germany where German-speaking people once settled there

Any potential buyer has probably stuffed three of them into a container and is having them shipped for less than what that seller wants for his

These very very popular when I was a kid in New Jersey. Used to see/hear/smell them clattering around everyone. My best friend's Dad was a professor at Drew University in Madison, and visiting him on campus there, the campus was just fill of these, Volvos and Saabs. And yep, the folks that owned them, swore by them. It's my understanding that these folks all moved to Subaru these days.

Oh and I agree with the comments about how dated this car was by 1982. Just look at that dashboard and a/c design. BUT I will say you can't really judge a lack of legroom here when you look at how WIDE that rear seatbottom is compared to most other cars. Heck I don't think the seatbottom in my Roadmaster Wagon is nearly that wide. ;)

You could tell apart a French car blindfolded, just by taking a whiff under the hood. They probably use different rubber or something. They have a smell of their own

That's why we had alot of these:

I saw very few of those Peugeots. The other 2 brands mentioned were much more common. I remember closing the door of a brand new one, at the Detroit Auto Show and it closed solid like some Mercedes
