Wha, wha, whaattttt!! I'm sure it is totally legit that somebody with zero feedback just swooped in and placed a bid for it for $12.5k.

I do not get why there are three bids from the same person all at the same value.

They're not necessarily at the same value. When you place a bid on ebay, you're placing your maximum bid, which is not made public. There's no way to know what this bidder's maximum bids were, the three different times he placed a bid. EBay's system then proxy bids for you every time someone else bids on the item, but will never get up to your max bid amount until another bidder goes higher.

Either the bidder doesn't know what he's doing. Or, he placed a bid, then decided he's willing to go higher, so placed another bid, then decided again he was willing to go even higher, so placed a third bid. His multiple bids do not compete against each other.

That makes sense and I am hip to the proxy bid thing. It just seemed weird that he would place a bid and then less than a minute later increase his max bid and then again less than a minute later change it again.I would imagine after this guy "wins" it we will see this relisted at a reduced starting bid.

Just noticed the headliner. He must have torn down the fabric on the original.

Wouldn't the original belts have GM markings as opposed to Dayco?

My guess is the bidder doesn't know what he's doing, especially bidding that close together. Also makes you wonder if it's a shill bidder, but that wouldn't make sense, since the seller started the bidding so high. You usually don't see shill bidding unless they start the bidding low.
