If a guy has a bunch of receipts, registrations, and an ownership trail; of course that will help the value, because there is actual documentation of what has been done with the car over the years. I always thought was pretty self-evident, but I didn't need an article to prove that fact to me. Not bitching about you posting the link, mind you; it's just that the author thought that information was something new and enlightening. Strange.

Paper work to me is about as useful as cheap toilet paper.
I've always been more interested in the car than the paper trail.

I'll keep this in mind the next time I'm trying to sell, say, an Olds 442 clone that I'm trying to pass off as the real thing and have it priced accordingly.

Paperwork documents the car. Why would consider documentation insignificant??? It's proof of what the seller is claiming! Without it, his words alone are worth less than that roll of toilet paper you just tossed away.

Maybe he got his answer. Like I said earlier, there's no indication that he's a wagon guy, or even a car guy. Just someone who happened upon a nice car and was trying to figure out what to do with it.

I'd love to put a 455 in one of these.

Hey, I gave you an idea of what I thought it was worth. Hope it sits a long time. You're welcome.

It has air, AM-FM radio (that isn't original), and says 4.3 litre on the fender, which I will assume is the 265cid Pontiac V8. Two barrel carb, 120hp, 210tq. Not a great motor, no one likes them, smog era and all, small ports, really nowhere to go with it so it'd have to come out eventually. It's better than the Buick V6, if anything. It doesn't have power windows but it does have the electric rear defogger and a clock. Still has the original rubber mats at least up front. That adds brownie points.

Side note, I almost wet myself one day when I was at a junkyard and found clean original carpet mats in a Cutlass Ciera in blue, all four of them in great shape, and bought them for my Century. So excited I spent $20 on the full set of four and completely forgot to carry the rear seat ones out to the car because I put the front ones in, giggled, and drove away. They still had them when I returned the next day and the best part of this story is the counter guy didn't make me pay for them a second time!

With a curb weight in the 3300-3500lb range, these G body wagons have a lot of potential. Light enough to fly, solid enough to last.

I'd drive it. But not for more than $2000. Wagon like this with 100K would fetch $300 ten years ago. The low mileage and unmolested condition are honestly the ONLY thing keeping it from being a beater.

First Thanks for all the kind words and advise (you know who you are) , as for why I haven't posted any replies that is because I own and operate a full time company and buy storage units as a hobby!

As for those comments of why I came to this forum... it was to share my excitement about the condition of this wagon with people that would enjoy the find!!! also maybe learn a little more about the cars history and yes to get a value of the car as I am not a car guy obviously curious of what they would be worth…...

My intent was not to just get a price and be a "flipper"....I can get a car price from a guide or just put it on CL and make up my own price just to sell it and make a fast buck/ bucks! .. My hope is to find that person to fall in love with car and would take care of it as it has been from 1980.. I have already turned down a person that wanted to drive it for day to day...I even care about these cars and even have them back in a paid storage just to protect them as I was told not to leave them out side as they would start to diminish.

Yes I say them as I also purchased the 1980 Buick Regal also! It only had 6,065 miles on it! For those that are interested in the story of these cars here is what I was told about the cars… and for those negative Nancy’s yes I know its just a story and I don’t have any paper work to back it up..

They were owned by two sisters that drove them to church and back and have been garage kept from the beginning. They died and willed them to a care taker. Which I believe…. as there are crosses hanging from each mirror and they look like new cars..

There was a third car that would have been sold but the guy/ care taker got it out before they over locked the units.. it was 1946 Buick! That’s all I know about that one other than I have original parts to 1946 Buick as labeled on them as well as some spare white walls…very cool reminds me of the Walton’s!!

At the auction there were about 10 of us and they opened the doors and both cars were fully covered and couldn’t tell what they were.. the auction started and there was no other bids then mine! I purchased all three units…two cars and then the 1946 parts unit. We uncovered the cars and were shocked! Opened the doors found the keys in the ashtrays! hooked the batteries up and they cranked right up!!

I know some of you would like to know the price but then you should have been at the auction! :disagree:

To reply to getting a title each state is different just google lien law for your state to find out the requirements…

I really do appreciate all the feedback and I am still so amazed at the knowledge some of you have of these treasure!

And for you Patrick80 (Negative Nancy) I thought you said you were moving on! Now just keep in mind that if you reply to comments we all know you didn’t move on like you said you were going to… and if you did move on I still get that last word in! LMAO! :1st:

PS here is a pic of the Regal!!! if you are interested in purchasing the wagon I am not looking at shipping.. local pick up (Harrisburg Pa) only and please direct message me within this site.. Enjoy all!
