This has been hiding in my neck of the woods, but I have never seen it before. http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/5838084413.html
I can do without the wheels, but at least they match the car. Looks quite good overall. That's a mannequin, isn't it?
Imagine, painted wheels and "poverty" hubcaps on a top-of-the-line medium priced wagon. I doubt they sold a Ford, Chevy, or Plymouth like this since 1949. Also, the 301 is not the most desirable engine, but at least it is a Pontiac motor. I'm not sure about the woodgrain, either. I can't tell if this is the correct transfer or aftermarket replacement. It's not at all logical, considering how often it's used on these wagons, but the lack of a third seat will hurt the value, as well. I'm thinking maybe $5500 and use the difference for a very nice set of wheel covers. And if the 301 dies, swap in a 350 or 400 -- maybe even a 455 if authenticity is not an issue. Overall from the photos, it looks like a very nice use (mostly)-as-is, show-and-go car.
That's on the other side of town from me, most of franklin is pretty well to do. I bet the person would come down a good deal...wish I didn't have so many irons in the fire...or a wife who says I have to many irons in the fire...
