The fact that it is with the original owner and is low mileage certainly adds to its appeal. If it checks out, I'd say it is worth $7500 to $8000, but that's just my opinion.

    Guys?

(The issue with the back bumper is that it appears to be twisted a bit on the left corner side.)

Thanks for the comments. I can see what you mean by the bumper now. Anyone else have any thoughts on it? This is a great forum !! Hopefully I will be a wagon owner sooner then later

IMO @ $75-8000 it would have to be extra stupid clean etc, etc. I would also look at the roof, re- the rear air deflector for damage. I realize a original owner car is one thing, and location determines price along with ...it's worth what some one will pay for it, not some book value.

We have seen many others that although a picture can lie, have come across way better than this one.

For this blue ones price, it would be cheaper to come here and get this original owner and have a vacation while your at it. I could even inspect the car and provide real pics and info (only if some one is serious, not going to waist mine or sellers time:)(y))

Sorry, but IMO the blue one is way over priced......

The more I look around on line the more I see some nice woody wagons priced well below 5000. Again thanks for the info Tedy. What would be a fair price in your opinion?

For the Blue one? I could not really say other than what I've said. It has some questions that need to be answered by the owner, and more and better pics..... just like the one 4 sale here. I've seen eastern cars with in your face ishues sell for a heck of a lot more than a west coast car in better condition. I also being on a island, my location killed me when it came to selling a couple wagons and I think(?) the seller may know this also, yet on the main land the chances of me selling were almost perfect.....

Rust, service records, other damage, the tweeked bumper, and wha da heck is up with that roof rack for starters:yup::biglaugh:

I'd also ask if the millage is correct, it has that rolled over look IMO. KK in a previous post also mentioned things to look for and can be a good guide when it comes to asking questions.

And depending on how close you are to the car, a lot more and better pics inside, outside, under the hood, under the car. For that price, a seller best be able to come up with that.:yup:

Re the 'hasn't run for quite a while' issue......

For the money this guy is asking, it better run, and run good. You should be taking a big deduction for any kind of engine issues. What if you found out the engine needed to be rebuilt? That's a minimum of $2,500 right there. As it sits, with no proof the engine even runs, it's a $2,000 vehicle, maybe a bit more, but not much.

That's top dollar money the seller is asking, for a wagon that hasn't been proven to be in top condition. Also don't get sucked in by the seller 'seeming to be a nice guy'. This is business. BE CAREFUL.

I will probably still try and see this one but I am getting scared off the price. I was thinking $5000 max but now I am leaning towards < $4000 if I can have a mechanic look at the engine....

    --------UPDATE--------

Well I emailed the owner and asked the questions suggested. Air spoiler, bumper ding etc. Mentioned the forum. Said to be worth $4500 + it would have to be close to mint. I even said i think it appears close to mint. Just got a "thanks" reply and no answers. So I am guessing I upset him by asking questions or maybe he is just not interested in lowering his price. Last we talked on the phone he was down to $6000.00. So unless something changes I am done with this one. The search continues.... Again thanks guys I think you saved me some bucks.

Talking to a buddy who tried to buy this car - owner is firm at $7000.00. He must have had a change of heart after offering it to me for $6000.00. Now I wonder is it the owner's wishful thinking or is the car that good..........:banghead3:

So, what's a status on whether it runs or not? And how well?
