Not a wagon, but thought you might find this '77 Bonneville of interest. Every option - really sharp.

I'd go with the 301 over the Buick\Olds options when swapping a 400 in solely because of the wiring harness requiring no modifications ;-)

The timing cover and Valve covers swap, but I remember having to swap all the accessory brackets as the lower deck effects the bolt locations, and the Dist is 301 only, shorter than the 350/400/455 dist. Good Point on the wiring harness though.

They have come down quit a bit on that Veloncia Interior Bonneville. Last year they were asking $12000.00 for it.

I almost bought a green '77 Bonneville on eBay last week. I like those cars. I'm headed to the GM Nationals in Carlisle in June. Maybe a Pontiac will follow me home there :)

Nope, 301 distributor exchanges with the 326-455 distributors too. The deck height is related to the pistons and rods and block deck, not the valley height (otherwise the timing cover would be different too).

1978 Bonneville with the 350. Clean looking with PW and AC at just $3800. Looks appealing.

It is a nice looking car, but if he really want's one with a Pontiac V-8 this one won't work. The last Pontiac 350's were built in the 77 Model year. 78's mostly have Buick 350's (like my Catalina Safari) California and High Altitude counties got Olds 350's. If it had a 301 or 400 it would have a Pontiac V-8.

That's a nice photo of it. Unusual to imagine someone in college using one at this day (which isn't a bad thing.)

Way too nice for that. That car will be trashed in six months if it sits outside in a student parking lot.

Very special car - do hope it will have a safe parking space at college.
