May be showing her age but a 350 4bbl Olds Cutlass is a very sweet car. GM sold a ton of Cutlasses for a reason - they were great.

    I had a 77 Cutlass Supreme 350 4bbl back in 1985 and you're right, it was a great car.

I remember in the ‘70’s you couldn’t turn around in Chicago without seeing one of these Cutlasses. They were everywhere. The Merry men of Olds sure did their sales job in the Chicagoland area.

I think it was actually "The Gallant Men of Olds."

Oh I was thinking “In my Merry Oldsmobile” I was thinking they used that phrase in the ‘50’s - early ‘70’s

I remember Dr Oldsmobile from the auto show, as well as the “Young-mobiles”

Actually, that song goes all the way back to the Curved Dash Olds era at the turn of the 20th century. The song was written in 1905.

Yes I knew of it’s origins. That’s why I said “phrase”. I sing barbershop, and it’s very popular. Kind of racy by 1905 standards about Lucile who falls in love in an Oldsmobile. With young Johnny Steele
