Looks like a low optioned car. Can't tell much, because of the low number of pics. No engine compartment pics, and no good pics of the dash. Looks like it may not have A/C, as I don't see the center vent, over the glove box. Very cool and clean car, and could be worth the asking price, if they have documentation proving the mileage. With that low mileage (with documentation), a flipper might be able to make a few bucks off of it on ebay, to the right buyer.

Not correct for this Cougar but I think they are for a Mercury of some sort.

They look like a Sixties cap.

Currently trying to sell a '79 Cougar, and knowing several owners of 77-79 Cougars personally, speaking from experience, I can say that 77-79 Cougars have terrible re-sell value, especially compared to their 77-79 Tbird and LTD II cousins. Not sure if it's a Mercury vs Ford thing, or what. They are not popular and do not have much of a following.

I like them, but am afraid if I bought one I would never be able to get rid of it.

That combo of green colors I do like; I once had a 2-door Granada Ghia with those colors, and I wish I still had it.

This seller apparently cannot get rid of it, either.

I want a '77-'79 Cougar, simply because I want to swap front clips with Babe's LTD II front clip, and strip it down for parts since I've run through the parts I had years ago. But I can't find a cheap rig with a good front clip, or the money to buy it anyway.

Keep an eye at those insurance auctions. There are a lot of them up in your corner of the country, and they sell to private individuals. That's where I bought my '79 XR7. $250 was my final bid price. After taxes and fees, it was $500 out the door. Rust free, amazing bucket seat interior, great running 351W. It was still worth the extra $1000 to have it shipped to GA, to get the interior.

I swapped out the interior with my '79 Tbird. This is how it looks now.

Well, not sure of his reasoning. He started off at $6500, now he's at $7500. He's going the wrong direction...

For that interior and those wheels, I would've found a way to scrape up the dollars to get it. Imagine that interior in my Ranchero, which I think is the same basic blue color.
