No kidding, that driver seat is shot. The rest of the interior doesn't match the driver seat though. 1976 Oldsmobile Station Wagon - $3500 (Parker) 1976 Oldsmobile Stationwagon condition: good cylinders: 8 cylinders drive: rwd fuel: gas size: full-size title status: clean transmission: automatic 1976 Oldsmobile Stationwagon. Has 455 engine that runs strong. Newer tires with about 8000 miles on them. Car runs and drives great. Completely original inside and out. Can be used as a daily driver as is, or ready for restoration. This is a rare car that gets attention anywhere you go. It holds a total of 9 passengers. Includes the third row seating that folds down. The rear window and door roll into the body of the car, pretty impressive. Overall good condition for completely original 40 year old car. Clean Colorado title. There might be a derby not far off in this one's future.
My '73 was the same way regarding the seats. When I got the car, the front seat was pretty much shot while the second and third seats were in very good condition. Just a function of the fact that the front seat gets sat in every time the car is driven, while the same is not true for the second and third seats. With the exception of the faded paint, the car doesn't look too bad. The second and third seat areas look exceptionally nice. Can't tell much about options other than it has A/C, apparently tilt-wheel (but no cruise control?), and power tailgate. Can't tell for sure, but the top of the dash does not look to be cracked. The fading of the upper half of the wood grain on the doors and the rear quarter in this photo is consistent, I think, with much time spent in the sun. This could support the idea that it has been a Denver car all its life.
I'm beginning to see why my Grandfather used to put a blanket or whatever on his car seats. I think I've inherited his mentality on maintaining cars to some degree.
