I guy by me was the the highest bidder the day before the first auction ended, I wonder what happened?

 

I just put it on my watch list. Let see what happens this time. It’s a nice car but those speakers cut into the doors really bother me.

 

Bid to $7100 - no sale. That is really weak for a well optioned GM clam.

 

Just before Christmas is not the best time to sell a car unless it is a very rare or very desirable model. I have noticed even most BAT auctions are not bringing the $$$ they did a month or so ago.

 

Going absolutely nowhere this time.

Another thing many may not be aware of is the influence of the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Not going to get into a lot of details here but if you have money in IRAs and are over a certain age you absolutely must cash out a portion of those investments every year or the IRS gives you a heavy tax penalty. The result is many retirees (including me) take their RMDs as soon as they get the 12/31 IRA statements, giving them play money in the early part of the year for their next toy.
