I got a picture of the engine compartment. THE ENGINE IS A SMALL BLOCK... and wouldn't you know it, it's missing the A/C belt. Wagon price is now down to $3-4K

A car without an A/C belt. What are the odds?

    Well, that's disappointing.

Still, this '76 CE has some potential, just not at asking price.

Now I see the auction has ended. I wonder if it will be relisted with the correct description and a lower price.

I'd say it's a safe bet that it did not sell at that inflated asking price.

He pulled it as many people complained about it not having the A/C belt. He was going to run the 30 miles to Napa so he could get one installed on it.

The A/C belt is a very minor issue for this one - the crunchy body would be the major issue.

    He's still calling it a 454 engine.

I noticed that - he also calls it 'almost no' rust.

How do you get 454 CI out of a 350 engine?
As far as an AC belt if the AC worked it most likely would have a belt!
