With the exception of the gauge cluster, that is the exact same interior my '75 had, cloth and "saddle" color (mine had the fuel economy and water temp gauges). This wagon looks amazing. Bidding up to $7,100.

I am interested in the wagon but what kind of a problem is it to import a car from the Western provinces of Canada? Anyone ever tried to do it?

I've looked into it before. There are 'fun' hoops to jump through, which has probably kept the bidding down on this one. Some of these steps will not be required due to the age of this particular wagon.

I had a friend import a 64 Falcon Convertible from Vancouver BC, he lived in Vancouver Washington at the time. Nothing to it. Car is older than 25 years, not that hard.

All due respect, still not a matter of just driving across the border - good luck if you're in the bidding to win it!!!! This '75 Caprice Estate looks spectacular and well worth the effort! These certainly don't come along every day.

Driving across the border is part of it, but with the proper paperwork in place usually it's just an inspection and taxes\duties to be paid. If the car was originally a US destination car it makes it that much easier. Definitely something to do homework on before you pull the trigger though...

I bring in a cars all the time. With the dollar down the past year I have brought in 4 cars and a brand new boat. Piece of cake. There are a couple of forms, they rubber stamp them at the border. As long as the car is over 20 years old, no issues/taxes/duties nothing. As long as the boat was made in the US, same deal.

PM me and I can send you what the forms look like but you really only need to show up. They will fill out the forms. When I have filled them out in advance they act incensed and redo them anyway.
