That's getting near half price. I think the top and interior color are holding back the car a lot, that color was ugly back then and it's still is now IMO.

Guess what? Someone finally bought it. Me!! Took me 3 years to talk him down to $20K. It is the upper end for this car but I'm comfortable with that amount. I don't have it yet as it needs to make its way across the pond to Australia first but you can be sure that the silly vinyl roof is going. Although vinyl was a factory option for this model, this car did not leave the factory with a vinyl top. The owner I bought it off had it installed but he forgot to do the C pillars so it looks very awkward. Original wheels will be going back on along with the standard deluxe wheel covers. Other work needed includes the AC (has a leak), the clock works intermittently and the 8 track isn't working. I'm sure it will need other work too but I'm ready for that. I hope to it have it all sorted and ready for shows by September/October 2019. When it arrives I will create a new post to show it all off in HD detail!

Congratulations GlenCam! That sure looks to be a exceptional longroof! Hope you get loads of enjoyment from it. It took me close to five years to find that right wagon (and found it) It took me almost five weeks to settle things and work out all the logistics! I couldn't imagine waiting and negotiating for three years on your longroof! Good luck getting her home and enjoy the hell out of it when you do take stewardship of that lovely wagon!....Longroofs Rule!

Thanks guys! Yes she is an awesome longroof. I can't wait to get it and go over her in detail. The other day I worked out that this is the same wagon I tried to buy waaaaaay back in 2004 when it was for sale then. I found an old post on a forum I had written but the then owner, Jamie Steve, never got back to me. Yesterday I received all of the documentation relevant to the car from the last owner, Marshall Chervin, and it's a treasure trove of information. I have the complete provenance of the car now, right back to its purchase at Scranton Buick PA in April, 1973. She was built at the Wilmington Plant and has 53,000 miles on the dial.

Can any of you give me any clues as to where I might be able to get the correct Willow Green Iridescent paint for it? The roof will have to be repainted when the vinyl comes off.

I would go on to automotivetouchup.com. They are a great go to. Send them the paint code and they mix up the factory colors. They have bulk spray and touch ups available. Also reasonable.
