Putting a convertible away for the summer? Huh?

Anyhoo, Miss Toronado would be most welcome in Texas! Drop by anytime!

yeah it's Florida - too hot and humid and too hard on the car - surprised TX is not the same maybe farther south???

remember, I have no cracks in dashes, steering wheels, would like to keep it that way

yesterday driving back from Atlanta I kept feeling how hot the dash was, even tried running the A/C in DEF to help

I got over it but you know what I mean right?

    High Anxiety:::

"It takes work to look like this"
    "Oh I can see that"
"Remember there is no such thing as natural beauty or we're all out of a job"

    Looks awesome David.:thumbs2:
Now what you need is some nice little bling to go on that Lunger.
Maybe just some nice valve covers. Have the air cleaner chromed,
Oh I can spend your money real fast. It's easy.:biglaugh:
    Lookin fine,
    Rick

David, you've got a better eye for class than whoever did this 1974 Caddy from the gallery. The lines on yours especially at the rear really take advantage of the rear quarter and roof lines, and your rear side windows are actually usefull.

Kudos David. Ford should hire you! :D (y)

Well, it has been a while since I updated this thread with a progress report. Between a crazy work schedule, and the Texas heat, it has been slow going!

I am still in the process of getting it in black epoxy primer. I have everything coated except the LH fender, and the tailgate.

My engine is painted and awaiting the bit and pieces to be remounted. I ordered gaskets, motor mounts and lots of misc. parts, and they arrived Monday.
I figured now would be a great time to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets.
Starting on the RH side manifold, I promptly broke two bolts off in the head! AARRGGHH! :banghead3:
Hopefully, I will have enough room to drill and extract the broken bolts, otherwise, I will be one unhappy dude!

Oh well, it is still coming along, and I am still as OBSESSED with it as ever!

    David :)

DON'T USE A EZ OUT IT WILL BRAKE OFF IN THE HEAD.:eek3:

If you can drill it out, Start with a small bit and keep increase the drill bit size until your just a little ways from the threads.
Then clean it out with a tap.
You probably already know this, But I was having bad flash backs.:jumping:
    Good Luck, (y)

I've always used Ford Nut's method. Learned it in the Army on old Dodge war wagons. Glad to see the old methods are still reliable. Excellent post FN! Generations will thank you. Thanks for the reminder.(y)

David, just checking in with ya. The weather has been horrible lately. Very, very hot! Hope you were able to ge those bolts out. It's things like that, that hold up progress.

Keep it up though! If I'm sweating buckets you should too. :rofl2:
