On the photo, it reads, "ENDED". Does that mean it changed hands or just got pulled out?

Fellow agents were probably manipulating the bidding, to get the highest price.

Tried to find a local ad for it with a price, but came up empty. Seems like he is looking for a big payday. I would have taken that $16k and ran. Unless I missed it somewhere he doesn't specify what engine it has. Just lists it as a V8. Could be anywhere from a 350 two barrel to a 400 four barrel.

 

This guy is a joker. $2000-3000 in parts? I see a few belts, old brake fluid, distributor, a hose, and other various never needed again items - worth about $200 found at any autoswap meet. The spread on the table reminds me of a younger brother that doesn't want to eat his supper - push everything around in funny direction to make it look like more or less.

It is a nice car, but he's waiting on a lotto ticket.

 

He's thinking big, again. He'll learn that he'll end up only selling items in demand and will have to keep the rest, until he's sick of looking at the remains. In which case, he'll either deposit them on the roadside or end up hauling everything off to the scrapyard.
I parted out a couple Honda Civics and ended up with a pile of struts as well as other suspension- and drivetrain parts which never wore out on those cars.

 

I'll go ahead and predict it won't bring the same bids this time. If the $16k was legit, he should have taken it.
