    Hate to burst your bubbles guys, but I drove one of those in the early '70's, and they're SUICIDE MACHINES!!
    Standard S/W brakes, that COULDN'T STOP WHEN EMPTY!
    Put 20 people in it, with luggage on the roof - forgetaboutit!
    Only reason I stayed, it was a 'Stew Zoo' out of O'Hare - plenty of 'benefits'!!

    That figures. They never planned for safety way back and who needs to stop quickly while hauling 20 people around a crowded airport with planes wandering all over ?
    On the bright side, once we get onto I 80 we won't need to slow down till we get to dewey's house at the bottom of one of those mountains.:slap:

    I was trying to read between the lines. The idea of a stew zoo and benefits makes the job worth the dangers.

    We had friends who lived just west of O'Hare before it was made even larger. You could almost look up the skirts of those stewardess' as the planes flew over. :slap:
