    Decals for the surround rails were not available from Ford as a service part. You had to buy the whole rail.
    An alternative to decals or vinyl wrap for the rails is the same woodgraining process used for dashboards of cars of the '60s and '40s. It avoids the seams where two pieces of decal/wrap meet going around a curve and, since it can be clear-coated, it will not peel and will probably be more durable.

    Some Mercurys of the late '70s, '80s, and '90s used wider chrome rails with woodgrain inserts.
