Three times is the charm. Seen this car in a couple of varieties.

13,000 is just a handful. They made over 100,000 Country Squires that year, and it's been many months since I've seen one on ebay. If I recall correctly, there was one other Torino on ebay a few months ago, and prior to that it had been years since one was listed. I think the attrition rate for Torino wagons was even higher than for the full sizers.

When this car was listed in an auction, it bid up to $18,300. Curious that that bidder seems no longer to be interested at $17,500.

I noticed that the seller's description mentions that it has "super cool ss hidden lights"
I am assuming that they are referring to the hidden headlights and are (mistakenly) under the impression that any car with hide-away headlights was an SS.

I loved the ‘69-‘70 LTD ss’ with their hidden headlights.

    The latest listing.
    (cue "Twilight Zone" theme).
    The price is now $35,000.

Makes sense to me. If you can't sell it at $17,500, double the price. Obviously, it was priced too low.

I guess if it doesn't sell in a month, we'll see it listed at $70K.

In the same vein, the car is now described as "fully loaded".
I wonder if that means it's equipped with such luxury features as crank-up windows, manually adjusted seats, and an AM radio. I'll bet it even has a cigarette lighter.
