Ohhh - I thought you meant the Ranchero! You got me when you said "it seats two comfortably" - that threw me I guess.

Right. Because my Ranchero's registration lists the original scale weight, which is 3700 or 3900 and some odd pounds. I'll have to look it up. But that's a difference of 300-500 and some odd pounds between Babe, and the Buick in question. But don't get me wrong, I'm not disparaging that Buick. I only was originally saying that the 430 CID was up to the task of making the car move.

Doghead - are you the artist formerly know as Poison Ivy or Hanswurst around here? One and the same?

I got locked out somehow, after I had to continually log in, despite checking the "stay logged in" box. One day, I couldn't log in at all. But, am still getting notification e-mails for the threads I was posting on. All of this started to happen, just after that one spammer got his account banned about a month ago or so. Maybe, he left a worm in the forum's software. Who knows. These things happen, from time to time. Well, it seems you caught me with my pants down. As they say, you can't fool everybody all of the time.
Now, I'm suddenly logged back in over there, after just attempting. I never yet tried it before, while having this account window open. I wonder if it's working only because I'm presently connected here. I'll see if it holds, once I close this window

Yeppers, I could tell the writing style. I never would stay logged in on any site, as you stated, it increases the risk of being locked out if something goes haywire on their end.

Now I'm logged out again, despite having both windows open

Perhaps with fall coming on you should close your windows. Fresh air is good. Just don’t want you catching cold.

If I close both windows, how am I supposed to get back in again? Now, the e-mails have stopped coming in
Indeed, they did and this seller wants a fortune for it:

Well at least the seller is throwing in "free shipping" I got a kick out of a recently viewed way overpriced NOS part that the setter was asking over $2000 USD for, and wanted $24.99 for shipping in the lower 48 states!

Some people just have that desire to get every dime, every nickel, every penny, or they just cannot live with themselves.
