1968 Mercury Colony Park

    I learned something new! I didn't realize Mercury offered two different third-row seating options. I wonder why? Perhaps they had some rear-facing seat parts to use up?

    Hi, I am fully aware that both rear seat options were available in '68 for Mercury. I just wanted to point out that '68 was the last year of the rear facing seat as side facing jump seats became the only 3rd seat option through 1991. Wayne

    That is one nice looking Mercury. It was odd that Ford would have more features than a Mercury. I guess it was differing division management that made the ultimate choices. Ford did want to deliver a competitive upscale car to compete with the best there was. I remember an ad from 1965 where they compared the Ford LTD to a Rolls Royce.
