The dealer is looking to get a particular amount out of the wagon. They could have had the collision damage repaired - probably got an estimate. Their decision. You would probably see a $17k asking price on it though. I think if I was the dealer, I would have made the same decision - leave it alone. Certainly a negotiating factor though. I'll bet you could actually get the wagon for around $10k ........or less.

If anyone is asking $15,000 for a station wagon, and the wagon has damage, that fact should be disclosed regardless of how easy the damage might be to repair.

Here's another '65 T&C. Luggage rack looks the same to my eye.

You're right Jaunty; thanks for finding it. That one looks gorgeous too. I can't recall many wagons of the sixties having full length luggage racks. Frankly, I don't like it. I would've much preferred it just be over the "way back".

You know, I thought to myself that the luggage rack didn't look quite right, but I couldn't put my finger on it until you pointed this out. You're exactly right. The luggage rack runs the full-length of the roof, and, while that does certainly mean plenty of cargo space up there, it certainly is out of keeping with the typical luggage rack/station wagon look. On my '73 Custom Cruiser, the rack covers only slightly more than the back half of the roof.
