Denver Tri star there is a finished wagon n Denver for under 7k, let me know if your interested i will pass on the info, and good luck finding a Comet Wagon in So Cal, or even the parts, I am looking for one as well. Good luck Also a little progress report on the wagon, the headliner and heater box are both in as is the engine wiring, just waiting on some Poly armour for gas and brake lines. Ryan
Your attention to detail is amazing; that is going to be one gorgeous Comet. You're making excellent progress. You did a great job installing that gas cap. I'll bet it must've taken at least a couple of days, but it was well worth it!!
Hi Ryan, I might be interested in the one in Denver depending on the rust situation. They all have some. Thanks, Dave
Dont say all Mine was born n raised in Cali and had none, the one in Denver looks pretty clean. You can simply google 1964 Comet wagon for sale, the one in Denver will come up, its like 6995 or something, Ryan
Friday report Well I started my experiment with poly Armour brake and fuel lines, the brake lines are pretty good so far but the bigger 5/16 line still kinks pretty easy when making a 90 degree bend. Headliner is in and the rear brake lines are in. I cheated and started to install a pre bent fuel line kit for a 67 mustang. I will post pics later tonight, just got home n going to get some grub, Everyone go out and enjoy your summer weekend. Ryan Pics added>>>>>>> Rear brake lines started drivers side Passenger side......I am not a pro and these were all bent by hand, thats why I did the Poly Armour lines Pre bent 67 Mustang fuel lines, just had to make a few adjustments, lol. And you can see that I wrapped portions with rubber hose where i thought they may rub or vibrate. Cant be too safe, And one last shot of the pre bent fuel line. I will try to get a picture of the headliner up soon, it turned out great, and I also go the heater box and heater hose in, Woo Hoo. Some Fridays are more productive than others..................Enjoy Ryan
Friday update Well today was quasi productive, lol. Worked on the car for about 5 hours (had to work in the morning) Got tot he car bout 11 n worked til 4 pm, then to the parts store for an hour lookin for an adapter for the dist block on the brakes, lol All we (son on leave from Afghanistan) got done was completed the fule line install. Used the poly armour and a bender and gote her done. I had to create my own route as I am not sure where the exhaust is going to go and I am not that good of a bender. Here are some pics. Here is the union of the poly armour with the portion of the pre-bent I used. Through the torque box and along the front frame rail, with poly armour Along the outer fender rail And the final turn thru the fender wall and to the pump, yeah on to the brake ,lines UGHHHHH
I just went through your entire post. Your Falcon is going to be SICK once its all finished! Can't wait to see it all finished up.
thanks Vista, thanks for the comments and for those of you following the thread, Marge (the galaxie) has left the stable. She has found a new home in New South Wales Australia. I was not going to get to her anytime soon and I could use the money to finish Kathy (wagon) so say farewell to her............ I am not sure i will ever find another car with such perfect patina :-( To be honest with you I am looking for an F1 that I can drive while workin on the wagon, 48 to 52, I am sick lol
