Well at least the seller is honest enough to say s/he has never sold a car before and willing to entertain "specific questions." Photo is of little help. If the frame isn't too far gone, maybe it still can be saved. We can only hope, eh?
Actually, this would make a fantastic parts car for the other 72 that is for sale at the moment http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31272 especially if you wanted to give it back its factory look. Original wheel trims along with a factory roof rack are just two things that I can see straight off the bat.
It's back and with a huge price increase to $1700. Seller must have figured out it was underpriced - now it may be overpriced. It has the power tailgate. Interior looks decent. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/4492413442.html
Kinda like the guy in LA with the '73 Caprice Estate when it went from $4K to $9K? The rear bumper guards on this car are badly misplaced... that is not where they go, that looks hideous. lol.
This photo alone is enough to scare me away. The tailgate is sagging badly on the right side, probably to the point that it doesn't seal against the window at that point and it leaks. Overall, the interior isn't too bad except for the torn-up front seat. The exterior is in poor shape from almost every direction, such as this one. At $500, everything could be forgiven. At $1700, no way. Better cars are out there for that much money.
So I put the VIN through the trusty Google search system and found this car has a 350 Engine, Or at least it came from the factory that way. I admit I'm thinking of buying this car though not for $1,700. I sent three eMails, I didn't get any response yet but I'll keep trying. I notice the tailgate is sagging, Sure. Did the car rust enough to have the roller go through the floor?
