The weather was great today, so I took the opportunity to do some work. I guess the guy I had paint the car didn't do all the prep work he should have, because I had a small spot of paint bubbling up on the roof. I took my Dremel with a wire-wheel attachment to grind the area clean of the old paint and the rust. As I was doing this, my wife came out to take this picture, and said that this is a pretty good picture of the kind of man she married. She also made me promise to post it on "Your station wagon forum thing", so here it is. My daughter seemed to be interested in what I was doing, and since she wasn't fussing, I didn't see any reason to set her down.
Nice pic, Z, but I'm not sure I would have the baby so close to the business end of the Dremel, with stuff flying off the end.
Well, you're gonna get chewed out from others about what you did. As soon as I saw the photo I told my wife to come look at this fool! No offense meant. Can't believe your wife didn't tell you to put that baby down! As the Canadian said, you both look cute. As a manly American I don't call other guys cute. I agree the baby is cute and you are Red Greene rugged! We know you meant well. But never ever grind without eye protection. And never never never ever grind with a baby only a foot away from the tool with or without eye protection. Now go sit in the corner and thank God no one got crap in their eye.
I think it's epic cool you doing some thing with the baby, but epic non cool x10 considering what you are doing at the moment of the picture, with the baby so close.........
Yeowch! You all are ripping me apart... But seriously, I appreciate the concern. Since my wife is an E.R. Doc, if I'm doing something that I shouldn't be doing, She'll let me know, the spot I was cleaning was only about as big as my thumb, and I had Elena turned away from it. That being said, I promise that I will never have her so close to the dangerous end of power tools without the proper protection again. :sorry:
We only say it because we care! I hope she grows up helping you work on cars and becomes a car nut herself. Over 2 1/2 year ago I was pulling a 30' tree branch down where it was leaning against the tree it fell from. In a split second I got hit in the eye and knocked my eye lens into the eyeball. After many surgeries I still have an eyeball which is pushed into my socket and a permanently damaged retna even though I recieved multiple new lenses and cornea repair. An accident that even safety glasses wouldn't have prevented. So anything to do with getting something in an eye makes me super sensitive and I worry about things like this. Most likely you didn't even have the tool running at the time of the photo. Just remember we are all family here and we do care. Now go back and sit in the corner another 10 minutes.
In the best possible way. Glad to hear your wife thinks that this is the first place that should see pics of you and baby working on the wagon...EXCELLENT! Super cute pic...thanks MRS Zzzizxz. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima What's with all the zzz's anyway:confused:
fannie, ..... I just can't believe you giving a ":2_thumbs_up_-_anima" for this, you in all fairness have given me a thumbs down now and then (so to say) and I never complained or disagreed or said a word against you with your decision in regards to me because of respect, BUT.... BUT... maybe this time you should sit in the corner for not 10 minutes but 10 hours if not longer!
I've used that as my username on pretty much every website/forum/online for years now, because I know that it will always be available. Everything else I wanted to use was always taken, so I figured I would come up with one thing that would NEVER be taken by someone else.
Here are pictures of my babies helping me with electrical work: I asked her to pull the cable box power cord - took her forever....
