    I think I'll call today, may be able to get some questions answered:) Even though it's a 71, the shop manuals may answer what the tail gate ash tray thingy really is..... witch this wagon does not apear to have. No wind deflector on the roof rack also.

    That is a nice looking car! I can't believe any of the 69-71 Ford/Merc wagon tail lights still exist, every example I can remember from the mid 70's on always had at least 1 of those protrubing tail lights broken.

    And I wonder if the rear air deflector was removed at some point? The roof rack looks odd without it in those pic's. Or are the X-bars just adjusted oddly?

    I also wonder about the deflector and, no, the rear x-bar is as far back as it can go comparing it to mine.
