    Too bad she lives here.

I was taking the boys to the park this AM and stopped for a red lite. On the other side was a lifted touph cool looking Eagle wagon. Lite turned green and us drivers did the wave and it was being driven by a pritty lady.

So I'm home and did a google search for my erea and I found her.

The pics are red X on my end, but the avitar pic, yup it's the wagon I saw. Hope to run into her some day and tell her about the forum.

Her intro on a 4x4 forum......

Howdy all! Been lurking for several months now, figured it long past time to actually register & introduce myself [IMG] Name's Kirsten, I'm currently living in Victoria, BC, Canada, & while I don't have a Full Size Jeep, I do have one of the last Full Size AMC cars (mid sized Jeep, then? :p )
    - though it's not all that much "car" anymore! [IMG] lol

It started out its life as a 1983 AMC Eagle station wagon, powered by the trusty ol' AMC 258. Previous owner put in a NP208AM t-case, front bush bumper with winch (previously a Ramsey 8k, I replaced it with a Warn Tabor 9k). I've put in (with major help [IMG] ) a TF727, Holley 2bbl (cfms unknown), solid axle conversion using 95 XJ axles, & a 6" Evolution 4x4 lift. Life kinda hit me with a 100lb sledge hammer, so my poor ol' EJ has been sitting for about five months, & I'm only now able to get around to finishing up the fiddly bits of the trans swap.

It was thanks to the info I found on this forum that gave me the courage to swap in the 727 when the stock 998 burnt itself out (pinched coolant line, we found out on removal). It was especially helpful to find out that the 258/727/208 combo was a stock option - if only in helping convincing the guys "helping" me that yes, this would work. Mind you, we all forgot we were working on an AMC - NOTHING is ever as easy as it sounds [IMG] lmao But, I'm just as stubborn as my car, so I'll get there, eventually [IMG]

She's already married. :) She's on the Eagle forum. I met her dad, who is also an Eagle owner, in Iowa when I went to an Eagle meet last year.

I'm afraid I can't agree with you on this one Cat.

My wife has put up with me for almost 45 years, she drives our wagon as much as I do, she helps me work on stuff in the shop, mows the lawns when I can't, buys me car stuff that I wasn't going to because I thought it was too expensive, tows the trailer with the wagon when I can't, and did I mention she has put up with me for almost 45 years? If I didn't, that is BIG, trust me.

I also think that your lovely wife would fit in to the perfect mode. Perfect for us, maybe not anyone else, but for us, we got off danged lucky IMHO. You mention your fleet of vehicles without even flinching. She's obviously not big on saying no to your acquiring toys............

And given my wife will be reading this if I'd of said anything different she'd be posting my memorial on here by the end of the week :49:

Saf57 You are so right . We are both very lucky and we know it. This just proves that you and I are perfect. And I can say the rest of this because my wife only views my screen when I ask her to. Right now I ain't askin !

So without further ado, this also proves they are NOT perfect or they wouldn't put up with us!:whew:(y):D
And if she doesn't find out I will be married 55 years this Ocober. Or would have been.

How the heck do you know I'm single anyways? :D

A few months back a friend's wife saw my lifted Eagle and said, "You must be single." It's a good thing she's a woman, I had to bite my tongue. :Blasting_anim:

When we were first dating and Misty helped me sand and repaint the bumpers on my Citation X-11....well I knew I'd found THE ONE. :)
