1984 ford Ltd station wagon for sale $600. Passed inspection last year. Needs a freeze plug and parking brake. In REALLY good shape. Only a couple of spots of surface rust. The interior is so clean you can hear Wham when you open the door. The car looks like it just stepped out of 1984. If I had more time and this was my only project I would keep it. My mechanic said the motor has to come out to replace the freeze plug. Thanks for your time

$600 is cheap. Wonder what engine is in there?? And how much more rust that we can't see? I might be interested if it was a lot closer to me so I could take a look.

Yup. Brochure indicates it was the 3.8 V6.

Hunh?? What brochure? I doubt that the 3.8 V6 was the only engine in an 84 LTD. Am I wrong?

Thats NOT leather, Ford had a vynal thought that could fool ya. Almost fooled me with my 86.

Fox, I'm pritty sure the 3.8 was the olny engine in the Fox LTD/Marquis.

    '83 LTD brochure:
    http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/83l/83l.html
The '83 brochure indicates the 2.3 4-cyl was standard in the sedans:huh: but the 3.3 straight 6 was standard in the wagons.

The brochure site I go to doesn't have an '84 LTD brochure, but in the '84 'entire line' brochure, it shows the six is now the 3.8

FYI 'Fox, here's the main page for the brochure site I go to:

You have to pull a V6 to change a freeze plug?
Can't you just remove an exhaust manifold or something?
