Misty and I got hit with a large unexpected expense last night. I'm not going into details about it, but will say it has me pretty upset. SO I sat down, went through my toy list, and with a VERY heavy heart posted my Roady to Craigslist this morning.

    http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/2963081385.html

I think most of you know me, know how I take care of my stuff, and know this car. This was not done lightly, I adore this car and never EVER planned to sell it, but for the moment it makes the most sense....and I can always build one again in the future...I love a project.

I'm asking $5500 on Craigslist. Will sell it here for $5000, or if you live in the northeast and don't mind me pulling my dolly behind it, I'll bring it to PA/NJ at the end of May for $5500. That'll cover the car and the gas.
I hate hate HATE to sell it....I'll be driving that Dodge Ram as my daily driver....a fact that makes me moan and shake, but I'll still have my Cutlass and my GTO to play with, as well as the K5 Blazer and the Camaro Dad wants. I will not be bored..

There are tons of pics of my car on here, just look around. I think I described it pretty well in the Craigslist add. I sure would like to see one of your folks get it.

The flash makes the seats look lighter than they are, they are dark maroon and very pretty

DUDE! That is tough, but in the end they are just cars...

Someone will be getting a very nice well maintained wagon.

I figure I can build another one. Have had a ton of fun with this one.

One of the guys on the other forum is really interested. We'll see.

Bummer! Hate to see that. Some years back when the taxman cometh, I had to part with our 1968 Firebird convertible. (You put in a little extra work on the side and that's the reward.)

I think the guy that bought my '89 Custom Cruiser is interested in the Roady. He's the guy I got my Cutlass from.

That'd be great, he takes great care of his cars, and it would be close, in Fredericksburg.

I'd have first shot if he ever sold it in the future too. This one I'd like to get back one day!

Wow, Mike. That's a shock. Seeing as how I've got a large tax bill I'm working on, I can understand those unexpected expenses.

With the other vehicles in the stable, why not one or two of those? Just easier to sell the Roady? (and by the action you're getting, I think you've under-valued it)

Sorry to see you sell it. I know from all the pics you've posted, that your entire family has alot of great memories in that car.
The car can go and you can always replace it later. But even if you're wagonless for a while, we still expect you to be here. Don't make us come looking for you.

    SOLD. That was fast....

I'm going to the bathroom to sob and moan now.....

It's going to Fredericksburg...I'll get to visit it....only an hour away. Still...I never NEVER planned to sell this one.

    - Mike

oh and PS, I really really want a clean Custom Cruiser. Once I sort out this mess and save up a bit I'll be looking for a 91-92 with low miles. Anyone on here please keep me in mind for next fall....
