Just arrived. Saw it yesterday in the garage area where they prep the cars before putting them in the public area. Returned today and found it. Looks complete except for some body trim and one wheel. Has the third row seat. I would have gotten the grille straight away but the chrome was bubbling on part of it. I have more pics including the interior and engine compartment as well as a couple rear angle shots. I'll add them if requested. E.T.A.: I got a request for the interior so I'll just go ahead and put the other pics up, too. Also, I found the car in the corner of an area that's sometimes closed off to the public so I don't know what will be there in the future. I go to this yard about once a week looking to see if a Century wagon has shown up and to get interchangeable parts that fit my car so I should be able to give an update.
I always wonder how and why decent looking vehicles end up being scrapped. This looks like something I would have wanted awhile back. Sad.
Funny I was thinking the same thing. Infact that cars body is in 50 times better shape than my Dark cherry 96 roadmaster wagon. And I am still driving mine!
I see a can of starting fluid under the hood. My guess is either the fuel pump or Opti-Spark is out on the car. And I agree, sad to see a rust-free LT1 wagon get junked. -Mike
Looks like the woodgrain applique on the trim surrounding the woodgrain panels has virtually all peeled off.
They ALL do that. I sanded an painted mine. Others have polished theirs for a bright metal look. Common Roady-Caprice wood issue.
That is no joke!!! I just did the floors on mine used up a 4x8 sheet of 3/16 sheet metal fix them and the rear wheel wells. That is why I find putting that car in a junkyard such a shame. Mechanical stuff is easy to fix rusted body work sucks!!
