a friend of mine bought a 92 chevy caprice wagon off of a forum member on the longroof and ss board (crazyboutwagons). it is a 2 tone 92 L05 caprice. well, he decided he doesnt like cars (he bought it for mpg.)...he got a job closer to home so he can drive his 3/4ton silverado to work. well, he wants a truck to make a drivable 4x4 beater... i know my truck is 4x2 but he has a solid axle off a 79 f250 that he wants to put under mine along with a divorced xfer case! so my truck plus $400 (i sweetened the deal since the wagons in better shape and my truck got bonked a couple weeks ago) and maybe as early tomarrow we will be a two wagon household. pic's as soon as it happens....as long as he doesnt change his mind!
Sounds like a good deal. Later on, if you decide you want to get back into a P/U, it might be easier to sell the (new) wagon....
i dunno marshall, pickups around here....if they are inspected....move quickly. cars...not so much. we are a very blue collar town and we have alot of start up contractors. we had a guy come into lowes daily...he made more than enough to buy a brand new f350 every two years, but he liked buying cheapies off craigslist and running them till they died.
and without further adeu...here she is! i will get better pics tomorrow after work! my phone camera sucks in low light. anyway... two tone silver/ dark green grey metallic 178k miles doesnt leak a drop of fluids 350 TBI. 3:23 rear end. impala ss wheels remote starter! bonneville seats. w/center console.
Congratulations Ian. That's great. Sounds like a win win deal. You're psyched about what you're getting and he's psyched about what he's getting. Looks like a nice Cappy, too. Best of luck with it.
