Picked up a 66 GTO Wagon tonight

    only 99cents too ;)

Didn't even know they had GTO wagons???

My wagon collection is light, never see many.
Got a brown woody 79 Lebaron wagon,
2 70 chevelle SS wagon 1 yellow 1 gold [both short cards] and that 66 GTO.

The pic is wrong though, the car is a candy red with heavy metal flake in it, not a flat red color like below.

Yea took a min to figure out its a dog, they didn't trim the face well, excess plastic on it, almost looked like a fire hose at first.

Still kinda confused, the info on the back of the card makes it seem that it was built by GM, and that its not a concept.

Did GM officialy design a GTO wagon but never produce it?

    born: 1966
    birth place: detroit, mi usa
    designer: GM

HW is just a bit more accurate on the info when they do custom cars like this. They usually don't elaborate allot.

Yes the GTO was made in 66, in D,MI and designed by GM

but the GTO Wagon was not, unless GM had it done as a concept but never built.

350X, it's all a copy rite BS ploy....GM never made a GTO wagon but Hotwheels used the GTO (GTO name), so GM wants a piece of the action....big company bs/politics. If Hotwheels did'nt get some kind of "OK" from GM to use the GTO name, body, etc, etc, there would be a zillion $$$ law suit and for what...a childs toy:slap:

Kinda, I know when it comes to toys the laws are lose.

I member form the tickle me elmo crazy, there was a bunch of knock off clones, same package and all. And its legal to make and sell them, until the said owners send you a letter to stop. And then only after that letter can you be sued if you continue to make n sell them.

So if you can get it done and sell em fast, you will have some time to profit and get away with it.

And GM is very lose and free with the copywrite use of logo's n trade marks, only takes a 1 page paper to fill out and they approve 99.9% of them. Long as you don't do it for profit, [but can still cover cost] they will just about automatically approve it that day for production use for car clubs n websites.
Been down that pat hand very refreshing how open they are to the use.
