I realize some of you guys are going to stroke out over this, but I really dig this Chrysler longroof! Well, other than the emblem placement on the front fenders; but hey, that's fixable! Asking price is USD$18,900. I just can't find enough spare change from under the cushions in the living room, dammit! http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/showthread.php?15285-68-T-amp-C-Hemmings-(IN)-(-18-9K) http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/chrysler/town_and_country/1683232.html
Appears to be in very good condition. I could roll with the modified 'wood' the way it is - not a bad job. I think if I had it, I would change out the Cragers for something else though. BTW, here's what the 'wood' is supposed to look like as stock:
That one looks kind of plain jane except the split front seat and power windows, not even disc brakes or am/fm radio. I would still love to have it but would have to start adding a few options to make it equipped more like the one I had for a brief period (see garage). Mine also needed everything to make it look good and this one looks great already.
To me,,,, being lowered is ok... The painted wood is pretty neat.. The "wood" trim is nice.. But the "chrome" strips in the wood six majorly...
Fender emblems not my thing but I could live with them, then there is IMO gawd awful trim stripes on the wood don't belong there period, are not my thing atoll but dam that's a nice wagon. The old school look Cragers, I really like them on this car......any old car, a lot better than the bling bling wheels that are out there.
No wonder, he's wearing a mask. I would also, if I ever had to get near factory woodgrain decals. The yellowed woodgrain looks cool for phoney, though. I could live with it. As previoulsly mentioned, I have to second the motion those Cragars are somewhat awkward, for that car
Actually this whole car just the way it is works for me, Cragers and all! Main reason I like it with those wheels is, the car is lowered, the wheels are period correct and they only look like they are 16" and the white lettering tires while also being period correct, dress up those Cragars just nice. All in all, a great looking wagon imho.
First, I HATE the way the lowered suspension looks like the torsion bars are broken or the front sub frame has had it. These cars tended to hit bottom anyway and with it that low, it is likely to scrape the exhaust right off on the highway. The yellow is barely okay, but that wood has GOT to go. To me, they knocked about $10,000 off the value by messing up a good car, and it would cost about that to bring it back to rights. Personally, if I had the bucks, this would be a $10,000 car, at top dollar, assuming I even bothered to look at it.
