This would have the 3.8 V6. I've had 2 of them, both dependable and very reliable engines IMO although some don't like them. My only real beef about the 3.8 was both sucked the same amount of gas as my Dad's H.O. 5.O, 87 T-Bird......... and only producing half the power.

Car looks OK, but what I am seeing in these very selective pics makes me think it's not going to be as good looking in person. NOT saying this is junk, but has that "it's been kept up but driven" look about it.

Good cars IMO, owned 3 of these Fox bodies ( 1 inline 6), GREAT cars IMO..... but just like any Fox body, if it ever gets bent, suck up your loss's and walk away and if it's been bent and repaired just walk away and wait for the next one to come up for sale.......:2cents:

Is it an LTD wagon, and not a country squire? I believe the country squire name was used only for the LTD wagon on the Crown Victoria platform.:hmmm:
Could be wrong, have been on occasion.:rofl2:

'Squire' is used on any Ford equipped with the side wood trim.

You are correct. 'Country' would not be part of its official name.
According to the Ford LTD brochure, the correct name is 'LTD wagon with Squire option. That's right - the Squire in this case was not its own model, but an option package.

So 'Squire' for FOX body, 'Country Squire' for Crown Victoria LTDs?

Correct. ONLY the big Ford was called 'Country Squire'. All the other types and sizes were only referred to by their model name, with 'Squire' added - for instance Falcon Squire, Fairlane Squire, Pinto Squire, Torino Squire, LTD II Squire, etc......
