One Whole year here !

May 18, 2011 I joined this forum. I've been here nearly a full year already. I've learned very little about station wagons. I've taught others even less!
But I've learned a lot about people. Especially station wagon owners and lovers. Yes lovers. Every member does not own a wagon. Some lucky members own many. But all members have the same love for station wagons of all makes, models and years. This is unique. Many other clubs frown on certain makes and models even though they belong to the same club. Also our age, sex, or nothing else seems to matter. We are all station wagon guys and gals. Everyone is treated---and ridiculed---equally. But it's all in fun.
There are times I get down right rediculous. Times I get too serious or run off the mouth too much. No one seems to mind. I may not come on the forum everyday. Some days I am on way too long. It's like coming home to visit friends and family.
Before I get too mushy, I just want to thank every member for having me here. Stephan has created a great forum. But you, the members, make it what it is!
Chances are I'll make it four more days for my one year anniversary. The good Lord willin, I'll be here a year from now to still be buggin you.
As us older members slowly move on to station wagon heaven, let's encourage the younger kids to buy and work on old wagons, cars, and trucks. Give em a hand. Give em a few tips and show them how you did it in the good ole days. Keep those wagons on the roads.

wow, got me thinkin, so i looked in my private messages and i still have the welcome message from Stefan in there, i joined Jan 24, 2010 !! hard to belived iv been here for over 2 years!!

Wow, 1 year cat...as my honey and I say when asked abpout how long...... It allways comes down to..... Gawd, seems like forever and a weekend in hell!

I've had a feeling Stefan has had his finger pointed at me for a long time.! I don't want to suck up. But I feel he knows what he's doing and we are doing and he's a good man!
That should get me at least my four more days!

 

Fat Tedy, people are always asking how long we've been happily married. Of course that's an old joke but to me it's the truth. I randomly pick a number like 25 years. Then my wife says "no, we've been married nearly 55 years."
I have to remind her of the original question!

Just heading out to an AARP meeting in case I get old someday. But wanted to check in first.
