We decided to try and get pregnant so that means we need $$ in the bank.... and I've only had this Griswold Family Truckster about a month but gotta sell. It is a 1977 Plymouth Gran Fury Sport Suburban with about 97,000 original miles. It came from NY to NC in the mid 90s with 76,000 miles on it so it's only been driven about 20,000 in the last 15 years. It's got a 6.6L 400ci gasoline engine in great condition. Lots of room under the hood to tinker if that's your thing. Definitely a stand out beach cruiser with the wood paneling...I've started to put bumper stickers like The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Kennedy '80, etc which come with the truck. Great for good ole American Saturday nights to the drive in, pizza and ice cream with the kids. Or for just making out by the beach. Lots of room in the back for camping. Tailgate swings downward or sideways (awesome american engineering). I've waxed it 2x and it shines.....driving this around town is fun, everyone stares and smiles when you see this family truckster....The interior looks like it sat in a garage for 30 years and noone has touched it. It's cool leather/cloth combo with a belt buckle type trim. Unbelieveable. Tires are good, probably 90% left. Custom spotlights right out of a 70s cop movie. Working 8 track player and I'll throw in Hank Williams, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Kiss, among others... Anyway, I hate to see it go. I'm asking what I paid for it about a month ago. Come by and see a piece of history....Cash only and I'd like to leave it in good hands. Would be willing to drive and deliver as well with a deposit. I make plenty of trips to Raleigh so I could deliver and get a ride back np.... What's wrong with it, you ask? The front power windows are tempermental, I've opened them up and the motor is fine, you just need to find grommets to hold the window in place. They work fine but it could be smoother. Gas gauge isn't working, seems to be the float in the tank which shouldn't be a tough fix. And a few pieces of rust and a missing chrome piece of trim on the drivers side. Otherwise its a strong running awesome truck. You will have the coolest ride in town with this....Ready for surfboards on the roof rack.... Call, email with any questions and I have a full spectrum of pictures as well.... 910-2eight6 - 3161 davidandrewwelch AT gmail.com Lots of pictures
