Oh man, this looks like a steal. Someone get this before it gets destroyed! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Crown-Victoria-LX-/301635452744?forcerrptr=true&hash=item463adfbf48&item=301635452744 Per ad: 1991 Country Squire LX Station Wagon, last year for the Squires. California Car with Zero Rust! Offering this car one more time in hopes someone would like to restore this squire. The state of California will end up with the car really soon. I have priced the car at the $1500.00 the state will give me plus the new tires. If someone doesn't want the car I will take the wheels and tires off and give it to the state to be crushed. I have owned this car for about 15 years and has been my daily driver. The body and interior are in good shape. The 302 engine runs smooth but is tired and ready for a rebuild. Tires are new.
state out of funds to buy his wagon The buyback program is pretty strict about the cars it will take. $1500 is for severely low income people, $1000 for others and the cars have to meet certain requirements including a failed recent smog check which this car hasn't had. Lots of failed smog checks in 2013 before it finally passed. The 91 with CA emissions has a one year only engine computer that was listed for $400 when I checked on one for my 91 Grand Marquis sedan a few years ago. Seller is blowing smoke, especially since the program is out of funds, usually after March every year.
