Hey Fat Tedy, sure you're not thinking of the '71 -'72 hoods? They had the larger, longer scoops that formed into the Enduro nose.

Nope, 70-72 lemans hoods were interchangable, the Enduro was/GTO was all it's own hood and front clip

70 GTO....this year oly in the body style you could swap hoods only, same hood ued on the Sport.

EDIT...maybe you are correct, I seem to be finding several 71-72 Lemans "Sport"s with the Enduro nose.....
But I'm only guessing it was a option...

For the '70 model, I believe the GTO hood could be used behind the 'standard' front nose - only difference was the scoops.

For '71 and '72 you could order the 'GTO front end' (whatever they called it..)
on almost any LeMans. Appears to have included the 'GTO nose panel / endura bumper, grill and hood. The '72 GTO had specific fenders that were not included in the 'Sport' front end, from what I have gathered.....they had vent cut-outs behind the wheel opening that the '71's didn't have.

Also just found a pic of a '71 4-door HARDTOP done up asa GTO, with the sport front end - apparently came off the line that way, except for the 'GTO' decals

Here's the build sheet on it:

Yea, 68-70 hoods interchange, either GTO or the flat LeMans / Tempest hood. My first car in h/s was a '70 Tempest that I put a '69 GTO hood on.

71-72 had a different contour to the hood and nose and could not use an earlier hood.

You're correct, of course. I was in too much of a hurry....
    Fixed it.

I actually pursued this wagon from out of state, had someone in state take some pix for me, then showed up to buy it. Seeing it for myself, I realized it would cost me too much to get it where I wanted, so backed out. I really wanted it to work out. :(
