The picture in the link, the fellow in the dark t-shirt who you can onlt see the hair and eyes of works for my company, thats his truck in the background. He was one of the first on scene before rescue got there in a some what rural area of the island. I don't know if the other fellow is involved in the crash but I'm thinking baced on what I have heard.... he could'nt be. I was with my super when he got the phone call saying, I'm going home, I've come upon a car crash and people have died, said where it was, and hung up What we later heard on the radio was the car lost control at high speed when it tryed to pass another car on the shoulder and when it hit gravel it was all set and done. A confermed stolen car is what they were driving.... http://www.sookenewsmirror.com/news/146699525.html
There is no "really bad" for lack of a better term in the picture but you will understand the severity. No car but a pices, one of the victoms is being treated but you can't see the person.
OK guys, thanks...I'm takin a peek! 20 years old, so much is lost! There was an accdient a few weeks ago, not far from here. One young man in the car. I believe he lived, not sure how. There hasn't been any more in the news about it. He drove through a guard rail, then broke off a telephone pole, then went about 40 feet and landed on the bank of the river and it's a tidal river. He was apparently there for several hours before a passing RCMP officer came across the broken guard rail and pole and checked it out, the car couldn't be seen from the road. The pole of course as been fixed but the gurad rail is still down, just a few orange barrels in it's place. Now how fast do you have to be going to go through all that? Oh yeah the car was one day old he had just picked it up earlier the day before.
Sad stuff isnt' it? What a way to end a life - a criminal, you leave not just family and friends wondering, but them also living with the stigma that their child/sibling died foolishly. Life can be cruel - some people make it crueler.
I agree, SAF. I wonder where he thought he could go to get away on that island?? Well....like Tedy said....young and foolish. And a shame all around.
What you (Saf and Fox) just talked about is all we could talk about as we kept hearing radio reports during the day.
7PM the same day (yesterday) just a few miles from the other crash..... Motorcycles, truck in a wild collision in Sooke Read more: http://www.timescolonist.com/news/M...lision+Sooke/6432891/story.html#ixzz1rgbFsjhQ
Seems to happen everyday everywhere. Not far north of us, small semi isolated Gulf Coast community two young girls hit a small bridge guardrail. One died other serious. Read and hear about these nearly everyday. Why? Speeding and alcohol!
