my 92 RMW has a couple spots where the woodgrain is missing in small spots. i was just wondering if anyone knew how to fill in these lil spots. i was just thinking of some light brown touch up paint.
Andy's idea is good. I'd get a swatch of stain samples and a good light and compare the shades and the underlying color.
I took a trim piece with the tan color they use with the woodgrain to the auto parts store where they matched it real close and mixed it in an aerosol can for me. I used it where I cut away some of the woodgrain around the front wheel lips that had surface rust starting under it and some other very small spots that I cut out and painted. Seems if you use a color that is elsewhere on the car it doesn't stand out as much. You could also take the car to the store if you can't find a piece to take.
I'll try and get some pics in the next few days. It's been a while since I posted some pictures so I'll be a little rusty at it.
