:) I just used; for a test brown shoe polish on the woodgrain on the 77 Matador wagon just where the sun had lightly faded the grain,, it looks great.. so I went around the whole car just at the top where the sun takes it toll on fading the grain.. is this something you guys have done with success or will it soon return faded.. The Mat is on antique plates so it sees just dry weekend cruises. what ya think?

hmmm... It won't hurt it, because its a natural wax base, but you'd probably have to touch it up every now and then. I don't see why you couldn't use the 'clear' or white Nugget shoe polish as well. That way nobody would get the brown polish residue if they rubbed against it. :thumbs2:

Better than saddle soap though, because all those ponies might start to whinny!

I have actualy been thinking of trying something similar myself.
My plastic trim pieces are faded and lightened in areas. I would think what you did is similar to the color match waxes that you can get.

What about a bigger version of those 'crayons' they give you to touch up nicks in your furniture?
