73Super here... was gone.. but VERY good chance I'll be back this week. Have been wagon-less for over a year now.. alas.. but that will be changing very soon. Will be acquiring a '62 Rambler Wagon. Pretty excited to be back in the fold and here and see all the cool stories and see all the cool pics! More to follow!
Well I've now become the happy owner of "Rhonda".. '62 Country Wagon. Big carb issue.. uphills, downhills or coming to a stop the thing dies. I'm ordering a new fuel pump and rebuilt carb. Should take care of the problem. Also noticed the car doesn't seem to have a fuel filter anywhere.. so will install a couple of those too. Hopefully will be driving it around in no time.
Oh... and by the way... I'm really not a big fan of the auto transmission in this... but I'll live with it for now. May explore different trans/rear end options in the future. We'll see.
Welcome Rhonda! Always liked a wagon with a bent roof. Good luck. Looks like she could use a good bath and some tender loving care.
The past owner was going for the patina'ed look. I need paint. So it will be getting a 3-tone paint job this summer.
Good for you. Patina is for desks and old tables. Lots of memories of big old Ramblers in the grandparents family.
