    My absolute favorite 1964 - Mercury Park Lane in choral with white and black interior! Oh man! That looks like a Monterey, but love that color.

    Thank you for your posts here, Arnie. This one looks particularly interesting. I think it MIGHT be the corner of Wilshire Bl. and Third St., in Santa Monica, CA. If it is, then the manager of that JC. Penney store at that time was a member of the church our family attended.....

    The view would be looking south on Third, with the cross street being Wilshire, which goes east all the way to downtown Los Angeles. Third St was turned into an open-air mall between Santa Monica Bl on the south and Wilshire on the north right around the mid 60's - now known as the Santa Monica Promenade.
