I just posted about 50+ pics of models that guys in my forum, modelcarjourneys http://musclecarjourneys.proboards.com/index.cgi#cruisin have built, some are mine, but most are from Bruce Bacon, whom I have invited to join us here. I am not the owner of a station wagon, but I have owned a few in my lifetime, my first wagon/van was a VW Microbus (back in my hippy days), then I had a 77 vega GT wagon, next was a Pontiac safari wagon with wood grain, then an Oldsbobile Vista Cruiser wagon, and then I moved to SUV (I have bad knees, so getting down into cars has become a bit of an issue) I had 3 Ford Explorer 4X4 Eddie bauer special editions, all were great vehicles but they were gas hogs. So, I now live my station wagon fanaticism in plastic. But it's better than nothing, I also have a whole bunch of diecast wagons and the will be put in another album soon. Nathan S Perrine III
It kinda looked cool for a moment..... I got to see a Blue 69 chev 2 door scratch built wagon, but then all I could get was..... Welcome Guest. Please Login or Register. Oct 9, 2012, 11:40am ... I'd like to see them, but not joining anything to look at pics.... didn't know model building was so top secret
I didn't either sorry about that, but to get on my forum, yes you need to register have a username and password and then look to your hearts' content, be sure to introduce yourself to the "family" and tell who you are and what you build or collect. This forum is all about model cars and trucks.
Click on Nathan's images ("57") that he listed under his name on the left... There's a few more on the site itself. I saw them OK without registering. (You may have to scroll down a bit on each page). Look under the 'wagons and sedan deliveries' section. I think my favorite is the '60 2-door Ranch Wagon.
Might join up, may not post much, but still have lotsa plastic dust in my lungs and Pactra paint under my nails from my youth (kidding, I am kidding!). From your "57" images, how was the 70 Chevelle wagon, or any of the 68-72 A-body wagons, done? Total scratch or from a resin kit or? Really want a 70 Chevelle wagon... Cool stuff, need to finish the real cars and get back to the scale cars. Takes up much less room, and the fuel bill is cheaper... Best, Tom
Join the forum Once there contact spacecowboy, he's the builder of the majority of the wagons posted, all of the Chevelles in fact were done by him, we would love to have you join us, we have alot of fun, we have MOTMs (Model of the months) contest where the winner gets to have their car on the home page all the month it won, this month was for halloween, the Ghost Buster cadillac won, which is sort of a station wagon/hearse...here's the link again to MCJs...so I will look for you to be joining us. http://musclecarjourneys.proboards.com/index.cgi?And I would encourage others with a plastic collection or even diecasts to join as well. Come on in and have fun... Nathan
